DESCRIPTION:This is the Rotary Club’s 7th Annual Calne Classic Car Run. \nBetween 8am and 9.30am on Sunday the 21st of May one hundred Classic Cars will meet and drive off from Calne Leisure Centre Car park. Calne Lions will provide breakfast butties as drivers set off. Drivers will enjoy a fascinating 70 mile route through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside and over Salisbury Plain to Southern Quarter of Amesbury\, finishing at the amazing Five Zero’s Supercar Barn at Holt. \nFurther support on the day will be provided by Rotarians and a great team of volunteers\, the event will be a true community effort.\nThe car run features VIP Teddy Bears and much loved dogs in some of the cars. The proceeds will go to Julia’s House these are Wiltshire & Dorset Children’s Hospices\, also other Rotary Charities. \nWe would like to thank everyone involved and wish them a safe journey. This is a ‘train the trainer’ style session so that delegates can confidently share the advice to other staff and volunteers within their own organisations and support their service users. \nThe Wessex Water Tailored Assistance programme comprises a wide range of affordability support to help customers who are struggling to pay their bills including flexible payment plans\, payment breaks\, payments direct from benefits\, low income discounts and bill caps. \nWe are doubling the number of people we can support. Find out what support is available and how to signpost service users to access it. \nThe session will also cover the scope of our Priority Services Register for customers with health or communication vulnerabilities\, who require extra support including assistance during water supply disruptions\, help with meter readings\, password system to protect against bogus callers and alternative format or language communications. \nThe nearest long stay (over 2 hours) parking is at Bath Road car park (Wiltshire Council). This is part of a project where visually impaired young people will co-design research to help identify the barriers and enablers for participation. \nThere are 12 climbing spaces available for those aged 16-24 years who live in the UK. No experience is required. On the day\, you may choose not to climb. You may also come just for a chat to find out more about this event and others being run by the University researchers. Organisers can cover your travel expenses that do not exceed £100. Participation in the climbing aspect of this day is not recommended for people with vertigo. You can withdraw and leave at any time.
