Shield Wiltshire
Shield Wiltshire are a group of volunteers, helping the Wiltshire community with supplying front line people with visors to try and help protect them from Covid-19. They are manufacturing this desperately needed PPE using 3D printers, providing peace of mind and reduced risk in the working environment for many local people. They have already delivered over 4000 orders to the Wiltshire area and have over 7000 masks on order.
They are operating in a self-funded way apart from the odd donation of material from kind members of the public. Since the orders have gone through the roof, they are beginning to struggle to be able to continue to do this without some financial support. The team members with 3D printers are making the visors free of charge, in their own homes giving up much time and using their own electricity and there is inevitable wear and tear to their equipment, churning out the kind of numbers they have been producing. Shield Wiltshire would be very happy to receive any donation via go fund me, no matter how small and can also provide a link to materials required if people would rather purchase the materials for them.
You can read more information about this volunteer group on their website and follow their news and progress via their Facebook page.
