**Update – Lockdown 3**
During this difficult time Alzheimer’s Support are offering a limited service in local communities with approval from Public Health England. Their in-person Music for the Mind sessions have become either a Movement for the Mind group or focus on art and crafts activities. They are also running some online activities including some live virtual sessions – see the Alzheimer’s Support – Covid-19 information pages.
Alzheimer’s Support has reopened its Memory Café in Chippenham. The sessions will be running fortnightly at the new venue of King Alfred’s Hall in the Market Place. The charity is delighted to welcome members back after its Covid-related closure.
The café is a much-valued social event where people can strike up friendships, enjoy activities chat informally to professionals, find out more about dementia and support, and enjoy refreshments and entertainment.
Alzheimer’s Support has carried out a thorough risk assessment and strict guidelines set by Public Health England will be followed to ensure everyone stays safe.
The groups are currently open to existing members and their carers. New members are invited to contact the charity at www.alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk or call 01380 739055 to register and book a place.
