DESCRIPTION:Join us between Monday 30 March and Wednesday 8 April for the Chippenham Easter Egg Trail. The Easter Bunny has been busy hiding 16 Easter eggs around the town. \nYou can collect a trail sheet from the Customer Services Easter Display at the Town Hall or download one HERE. \nFollow the map to locate each egg and its letter. Write the letters on your sheet and unscramble them to crack the Easter Bunny’s secret code. \nOnce completed\, return your trail sheet to the Customer Services Easter Display area at the Town Hall to collect a chocolatey treat. \nPlease note: The Town Hall will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday\, but trail sheets will be available from Chippenham Museum between 10am and 4pm on these days. \nIf you’d like to be entered into the prize draw for an Easter Hamper\, please write your details on your completed trail sheet. \nThe Chippenham Easter Egg Trail is in partnership with Melt Productions.

From observational humour to downright silliness\, we have carefully curated a line up with something for everyone to enjoy! \nHosted by Chippenham Comedy Club legend Wil Hodgson\, ‘Daft Laffs’ has been produced by Melt Productions as part of Chippenham Fringe February. \nWith brilliant comedians Spencer Jones\, Priya Hall\, Abi Clarke and Sophie Duker! \nSpencer Jones has been nominated for the Edinburgh comedy award twice\, has Bafta Nominations\, Created The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk\, appeared in Ted Lasso\, Upstart Crow\, Mr Winner\, Big Babies. ”Spencers chaotic live act is aways visual and musical’ – The Guardian \nPriya Hall is a stand up comedian and writer. She has featured on  Comedy Central Live (Comedy Central)\, BBC  Presents:  Stand up for Live Comedy (BBC One & Three)\, Live From Aberystwyth Pier (BBC One Wales and BBC Radio Wales)\, Fred At The Stand (BBC Radio 4)\, Machynlleth Comedy Showcase (BBC Radio Wales)\, Stand Yp (S4C). She was a semi-finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards 2021. \nShe has written on the revival of the BBC Three sitcom Bad Education\, which is available on BBC iPlayer.  \nAbi Clarke is a stand-up comedian and presenter from Bristol who took to the internet in 2020 due to lockdown and achieved remarkable success. In her first year online\, she amassed over a million followers across Instagram and TikTok\, and now boasts a large following of 367k followers on Instagram\, 893k followers on TikTok and 590k subscribers on YouTube. Abi was named as one of the eleven comedy stars of the internet by The Independent\, and has had her viral sketches shared by the likes of E! News\, Buzzfeed\, LadBible\, Good Morning Britain\, and BBC One. \nSophie Duker is a comedian and writer whose Edinburgh Fringe Show\, Venus\, saw her nominated for the Best Newcomer award and gained critical acclaim and five star reviews\, leading to a two week sold out run at Soho Theatre. \nSophie is a regular guest on Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC2). She has appeared on Live at The Apollo (BBC2)\, Mock the Week (BBC2)\, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4) and Hypothetical (Dave). DESCRIPTION:An hour and a half of circus skills suitable for everyone! Yep – all ages and abilities\, bring the whole family. \nWe can get you started with the basics or expand your repertoire of tricks and a few games might be thrown in as well. \nThis is a ‘have ago’ session with a combination of individual help throughout and short tutorials at specific times. \nJuggling\, plate spinning\, poi\, diabolo\, flower stick\, tight wire\, rolla bola\, stilt walking (bucket\, hold on and sky runner. Ribbons\, hats and a selection of games will be brought for little ones & children who may not fancy joining in. \nThe workshop will be run by Clare Evans (based locally) who learned to juggle at 16\, discovered a weekly workshop in London and went on to train at the National centre for Circus Arts (Circus Space) and has been teaching and performing for the past 30 odd years.Following the Circus session there will be a free balloon modelling session outside: Dogs on leads\, flower bracelets\, dinosaurs\, princess crowns\, crocodiles and lots more.  \n\n£3 tickets \nBook your tickets now to avoid disappointment\n\n  \n\nThis event is part of a three-day arts festival happening around Chippenham from the 23rd-25th February. DESCRIPTION:Calling all artists\, illustrators and doodlers of Chippenham! A NEW drop in event for all you budding artists. \nWe’re launching a social evening packed full of creativity. Come along and get involved with a few drawing games\, communal doodle piece\, work on your sketchbook and collaborate with other artists. All art supplies provided\, but feel free to bring your own. \nA friendly safe space to meet other creatives and dedicate a couple of hours to having fun and getting some drawings done. No pressure\, No judgement\, all levels and abilities welcome. Come and be inspired\, informally. Bring your favourite drink\, meet other local artists and start a new creative community with us. \nThis is the launch night but we hope to run this once a month if there’s enough interest. DESCRIPTION:Come and join us down at The Illuminated Island as we kick start the 2023 festive season… \nFor the third year running\, come and experience the banks of the River Avon spectacularly lit up\, bringing some twinkling magic to the heart of Chippenham. \nThe event is produced and managed by local Creative Event Production company Melt Productions in partnership with Chippenham Town Council. \nAlongside the lights\, this years’ focal point will be the beautiful wooden Roundhouse; a cosy\, heated\, wooden structure – the perfect spot to enjoy our jam-packed roster of entertainment as well as some well-earned ‘Hygee’. \nNew for this year\, we have carefully curated a full schedule of Festive Fringe entertainment\, including live Music\, Comedy\, Cabaret\, Cinema Screenings\, Workshops\, and even a Festive Quiz! \nOur infamous Aprés Ski Bar will return\, serving up delicious Hot and Cold Drinks\, Mulled Wine and wintery Cocktails\, alongside some of the South West’s top-notch Food Vendors. \nThis year’s event runs from Thursday 14th – Sunday 17th December (inclusive) down at The Island\, Monkton Park (just over Town Bridge). \nThe Light Trail and Festive Fringe show times vary\, please take a look at the schedule for more information. \nChippenham-Christmas-Programme-2023 \nPlease Note:\n* Each event is free to attend and seats will be allocated on a first-come\, first-serve basis.\n* The trail is situated on uneven ground\, please ensure you wear suitable footwear.\n* Disabled access is situated along the path from the main entrance\, please alert one of our Stewards wearing high-vis should you require any assistance.\n* All dogs are required to remain on a lead throughout the trail.
