SUMMARY:Rotary Classic Car and Bike Run
DESCRIPTION:In May 2023 the ‘Blues Brothers’ drove in the annual Classic Car and bike run – Will they be back or will another amazing duo be our guests? \nThis year’s Classic Car and Bike Run takes place on Sunday 18th May and will follow a 70 mile. \nClassic Cars and Bikes start arriving at 8am at Calne Leisure Centre\, SN11 0SP Car Park\, with breakfast available and provided by Calne Lions. The best opportunity for the public to see all the cars and wave them off at the start is between 8am and 10am at Calne Leisure Centre. \nThe route will go through some of the finest Wiltshire countryside\, with a coffee stop in the  Greenhouse Coffee Shop and Restaurant  Corsham SN13 9RD and finish at Sheldon School Chippenham SN14 6HJ \nDogs are welcome on a short lead and of course there are prizes for the Best Dressed Driver/Passengers\, Cutest dog\, Presidents Favourite Car and the best Teddy or other much loved toy. \nThe event is open to cars\, motorcycles and light commercial vehicles that are 25 years or older. The number of entrants will be limited to 100 to prevent bunching on the route and to facilitate parking both before the run and at the coffee stop.  Entry costs are £32.00 per car and £16.00 per motorcycle. \nContact details for anyone wishing to enter are :- \nKate Tompkins Event Secretary  calnerotaryclassicrun@gmail.com \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Salisbury Plain Drive Ahead for Calne Classic Car Run
DESCRIPTION:This is the Rotary Club’s 7th Annual Calne Classic Car Run. \nBetween 8am and 9.30am on Sunday the 21st of May one hundred Classic Cars will meet and drive off from Calne Leisure Centre Car park. Calne Lions will provide breakfast butties as drivers set off. Drivers will enjoy a fascinating 70 mile route through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside and over Salisbury Plain to Southern Quarter of Amesbury\, finishing at the amazing Five Zero’s Supercar Barn at Holt. \nFurther support on the day will be provided by Rotarians and a great team of volunteers\, the event will be a true community effort.\nThe car run features VIP Teddy Bears and much loved dogs in some of the cars. The proceeds will go to Julia’s House these are Wiltshire & Dorset Children’s Hospices\, also other Rotary Charities. \nWe would like to thank everyone involved and wish them a safe journey. DESCRIPTION:Rotary Rovers Return – The return of the native classic car run! \nBetween 8am and 9.30am on Sunday 23rd May one hundred Classic Cars will meet and drive off from Calne Leisure Centre Car park. The Calne Lions will provide breakfast butties as drivers set off on a fascinating 70 mile run through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. \nThere is to be an interesting stop at Middlewick House with the drive finishing at Casterley Barn near Pewsey.  Further support on the day will be provided by Rotarians and a great team of volunteers\, the event will be a true community effort. \nThe car run features VIP Teddy Bears and much loved dogs in some of the cars. Half the proceeds will go to The Bobby Van Trust and the remainder to Rotary charities.  The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust is a local charity specialising in providing home security improvements\, fire protection equipment and advice to victims of crime\, the elderly and disadvantaged. \nFor the first time the event is being hosted by The Chippenham Rotary Club.
