From observational humour to downright silliness\, we have carefully curated a line up with something for everyone to enjoy! \nHosted by Chippenham Comedy Club legend Wil Hodgson\, ‘Daft Laffs’ has been produced by Melt Productions as part of Chippenham Fringe February. \nWith brilliant comedians Spencer Jones\, Priya Hall\, Abi Clarke and Sophie Duker! \nSpencer Jones has been nominated for the Edinburgh comedy award twice\, has Bafta Nominations\, Created The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk\, appeared in Ted Lasso\, Upstart Crow\, Mr Winner\, Big Babies. ”Spencers chaotic live act is aways visual and musical’ – The Guardian \nPriya Hall is a stand up comedian and writer. She has featured on  Comedy Central Live (Comedy Central)\, BBC  Presents:  Stand up for Live Comedy (BBC One & Three)\, Live From Aberystwyth Pier (BBC One Wales and BBC Radio Wales)\, Fred At The Stand (BBC Radio 4)\, Machynlleth Comedy Showcase (BBC Radio Wales)\, Stand Yp (S4C). She was a semi-finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards 2021. \nShe has written on the revival of the BBC Three sitcom Bad Education\, which is available on BBC iPlayer.  \nAbi Clarke is a stand-up comedian and presenter from Bristol who took to the internet in 2020 due to lockdown and achieved remarkable success. In her first year online\, she amassed over a million followers across Instagram and TikTok\, and now boasts a large following of 367k followers on Instagram\, 893k followers on TikTok and 590k subscribers on YouTube. Abi was named as one of the eleven comedy stars of the internet by The Independent\, and has had her viral sketches shared by the likes of E! News\, Buzzfeed\, LadBible\, Good Morning Britain\, and BBC One. \nSophie Duker is a comedian and writer whose Edinburgh Fringe Show\, Venus\, saw her nominated for the Best Newcomer award and gained critical acclaim and five star reviews\, leading to a two week sold out run at Soho Theatre. \nSophie is a regular guest on Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC2). She has appeared on Live at The Apollo (BBC2)\, Mock the Week (BBC2)\, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4) and Hypothetical (Dave). DESCRIPTION:An hour and a half of circus skills suitable for everyone! Yep – all ages and abilities\, bring the whole family. \nWe can get you started with the basics or expand your repertoire of tricks and a few games might be thrown in as well. \nThis is a ‘have ago’ session with a combination of individual help throughout and short tutorials at specific times. \nJuggling\, plate spinning\, poi\, diabolo\, flower stick\, tight wire\, rolla bola\, stilt walking (bucket\, hold on and sky runner. DESCRIPTION:The Chippenham Art Group will meet monthly on Wednesdays in King Alfred Hall\, St Andrew’s Church in Chippenham Market Place. It’s led by artist Fran Young and organised by our experienced community services coordinator Pam Ollis. \nOur art groups are friendly\, relaxing\, therapeutic and fun.  People living with dementia and a family carer create their own art projects under Fran’s guidance with projects ranging from painting and drawing to collage\, printing\, crafts\, clay modelling and more. We work at a leisurely pace with plenty of time for conversation and connection.  No previous experience of art is necessary and everyone works at their own pace. People can also work on their own projects and develop their own ideas. \nFamily carers are welcome at the group as full members and encouraged to join in to create their own pieces of art. Trained volunteers are on hand to lend support as needed.  If you’d like to volunteer at the group\, please call Annie Clayton on 01986 624005 or email Annie. \nIf you’d like to come along as a group member\, or for more information\, please call Pam on 01380 739055\, or book your place on the Alzheimers Support website. \nThis group is kindly part-funded by Chippenham Borough Lands Charity.
