Chippenham Borough Lands Charity has launched its Christmas Voucher Scheme to support Chippenham residents who may be struggling with household costs during the festive period.
The scheme, which opened on 1 November 2024, offers eligible residents supermarket vouchers ranging from £75 to £175. The initiative aims to help local families with food shopping costs during what can be a financially challenging time of year.
Who can apply?
Residents must live within the Parish of Chippenham and either be receiving means-tested benefits or be on a low income to be eligible for the scheme.
How to apply
Applications are being accepted until 22 November 2024, though the scheme may close earlier if funding limits are reached. The application process is straightforward, taking approximately 10 minutes to complete, and importantly, no referral is required from other organisations – residents can apply directly themselves.
Support available
Understanding that online applications aren’t always accessible for everyone, Chippenham Borough Lands Charity (CBLC) runs weekly support sessions. These drop-in sessions take place every Wednesday between 10am and 3pm at Chippenham Community Hub (1 Gladstone Parade, Timber Street, SN15 3BS) where staff from CBLC will be available to assist with applications.
Interested residents can check their eligibility and find full details about the scheme at cblc.org.uk/cblc-christmas-voucher-scheme-2024.
For local residents who might benefit from this support, early application is recommended to ensure the best chance of receiving assistance before the funding limit is reached.
