Wiltshire Rural Music are proud to present our 2022 Liz Laurence Award Winner GABRIEL LONGBOTHAM on Saturday 29th July at The Cause, Chippenham.
“An evening of beautiful, soulful music showcasing Devizes’ finest young talent – the incredible Gabriel Longbotham”
Gabriel is a 19 year old pianist, organist and songwriter from Devizes. He attended St Augustine’s School in Trowbridge and is currently studying music at Royal Northern College in Manchester. He won our Liz Lawrence Award last April after wowing the judges with his talent on piano.
As a Wiltshire based charity, WRM aims to provide young people with access to music without the barrier of cost. Gabriel received bursaries from WRM to assist him in his musical studies, and, as a result of support from this scheme, he achieved his Grade 8.
The Liz Laurence Award consists of a £1,000 prize which was presented by the Mayor of Devizes, but also the chance to perform a one off hometown gig with the charity’s help. It is our pleasure to present Gabriel for an evening of music curated by him for one night only.
