Christmas Lights Switch-On

The Christmas lights switch-on will take place on Saturday, 29th November with a fun-filled day of live music, entertainment, and festive fun.

The main stage in Market Place will host live music, there will be a festive market, and lots of family entertainment with street theatre and fun walkabout characters.  Chippenham Museum will have creative activities and the Yelde will host a Christmas craft market.

Between 12noon – 5.45pm, there is a variety of family-friendly entertainment and activities to welcome Chippenham into the festive period and celebrate the switch-on of the Christmas lights.

The day includes performances from local favourites CLOGettes, Robbie Culley and the Wiltshire Police Band, alongside interactive walkabout entertainment and children’s creative activities.

This year we have 2 snow globes, and Santa will abseil into town at 4.55pm to turn the lights on at 5pm.
