Chiptic (Chippenham Technology and Innovation Club) is a new club for all people interested in designing and making things with a focus on technologies such as electronics, coding, 3D printing, 3D modelling and CNC machining.
The club kicked off a few months ago and we have recently begun a collaboration with Wiltshire College and they are allowing us to use their facilities (electronics lab, 3D printers, machine shop and more).
Our first practical session at the college will focus on soldering – an essential skill for creating electronic circuits. Do please come along and learn to solder or refresh your soldering skills. The session is free. Just come along to Wiltshire College, Cocklebury Road, Chippenham from 7pm to 9pm on Tuesday 28th February. If you park at the college, then make sure to register your car at reception to avoid a parking fine.
The club aims to support anyone who has an interest in designing and making things and who wants to learn new skills and collaborate with others. Come along and let us know what you would like to achieve and we will see what we can do to assist you.
To keep up to date with what the club does each week, register your email on the Chiptic website and check your spam filter if you don’t start to receive any messages.
