Chippenham’s medieval Grade I listed Yelde Hall has recently undergone major repairs by traditional building conservation experts. The work included timber repairs, restored plasterwork, limework, and the installation of a new pentice board, which will help preserve the building’s frontage.
This beautiful and iconic building can now be enjoyed once again in all its glory during our summer morning openings. Visit the historic Yelde Hall on select dates in August and September, where you can meet characters from the town’s past in the council chamber and pirates from 1709 in the lock-up!
