Rooted is a community market garden in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Established in 2022 by Becky Beach and Vanessa Woolhead, its purpose is to create a healthy and sustainable green space that everyone can benefit from.
By growing produce and working together, we hope to strengthen ties in the local community.
Our mission is to:
-
create a diverse green space that benefits the entire community
-
grow vegetables and fruit that are accessible to all, providing mutual aid and education
-
promote a culture of sustainability
-
provide a safe and healthy place for everyone to come together, learn, and grow
-
create a garden that is welcoming and inclusive to all
-
empower our community through sustainable practices.
We believe that by creating vibrant green spaces, we can have a positive impact on our environment, health, and wellbeing. Everyone is welcome to come and join in. You don’t need any gardening experience.
We currently have our main meet-up up on the first Saturday of every month between 10 am and 1 pm (ish). The sessions are very informal and there’s always a range of jobs to do. So no matter your ability, you’ll be helping out.
- Please check our Facebook or Instagram accounts for info on the next meet-up.
