Beginners Couch to 5k Nordic Walk for Health 10 Week Nordic Walking Course
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Friday, repeating until 28 November 2025

Our Beginner’s Couch to 5K Nordic Walk for Health Course is a structured, supportive program designed to help individuals gradually build up their fitness and confidence to complete a 5K walk using Nordic walking techniques.
Perfect for those new to exercise or returning after a break, the course spans 10 weeks, starting with short, manageable sessions that focus on learning proper pole technique, improving posture, and developing a steady walking rhythm. Each week, the intensity and walking duration gently increase, helping participants boost their stamina and strength without feeling overwhelmed.
With guidance from a fully qualified British Nordic Walking instructor and the motivation of a group setting, this course offers a fun, social, and achievable path to completing a 5K while enjoying the full-body benefits of Nordic walking.
This course will be held in John Coles Park where you will be able to go at your own pace and we hope to end our 10 weeks completing the 5k route that Chippenham Parkrun follow in Monkton Park.
