Collection Conversations: Mark Golder

In May’s edition of our art talk series educator and collector Mark Golder will discuss the influential but little known artist Stephen Russ. Russ was one of the Bath Academy of Art’s longest serving tutors, teaching printmaking and design for over thirty years. Russ designed numerous recognisable book covers including servals for Penguin, his most iconic being the phoenix he designed for the cover of D.H. Lawrence’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover in 1960.
