Heritage Day – Open Day Events @ The Cause Venue

The Cause Venue are holding an open day to celebrate National Heritage Day on Saturday 16th September.
Take a look around the Venue and see the original site of the Quaker meeting house and the beautiful former Methodist church – now an auditorium.
Why not also join one of the free singing sessions during the day & come to our evening Showcase?
12 – 12.30am Singalong group – Norma leads our Tuesday afternoon singing group and will be giving a free demonstration of the group. Join in or come and see.
2 – 3pm Choir free workshop. What is it like to sing in a community choir? What is it like to sing in a world music choir? Do you like singing but don’t know where to begin? Come along and see how we learn and how you can sing in a choir without having to read music or have much prior experience.
7.30 – 9.30pm Showcase. The two choirs who rehearse weekly at The Cause, Lingmara World Music choir and Chippenham Gospel Choir, will give demonstrations and performances of some of their varied repertoire. Full bar. Entrance £5 – tickets on door
The Cause Venue is a community centre for quality choirs, music, visual and performing arts, crafts, fitness, Buddhist and Quaker meetings.
