Doorway is a local charity that have a drop-in centre for those who are homeless, sofa surfing or who have complex issues that might affect their ability to acquire and / or sustain a tenancy. Doorway is currently not able to run its drop-in sessions so instead is acting as a food bank on Mondays 10am-12pm and Thursdays 12pm-2pm.
“We are still offering support to rough sleepers and those with housing issues, and although our food bags are primarily for homeless and vulnerably housed people we will not turn anyone in need away. The venue is still the Salvation Army Hall, and the contact number is 07921 215250.”
Doorway advise that anyone who comes across a rough sleeper to contact StreetLink on 0300 500 0914 and the rough sleep team at Wiltshire Council will be made aware of that person. Donations of non-perishable items are still gratefully received but please contact them for confirmation and delivery arrangements.
