Chippenham in Motion

The Chippenham Players are doing things a little differently this year. Following the retirement of their long-standing director, Barbara, the group has welcomed an ambitious young director determined to shake things up and take the company in a bold new direction.

His vision? A site-specific murder mystery set in the 1920s. His style? Energetic, unconventional, and a little radical for this otherwise traditional amateur dramatics company.

This playful production invites you to step into the world of a local Am Dram group as they attempt to stage an ambitious historical tale of intrigue, secrets and tragedy. But as rehearsals unfold, not everyone is convinced by the director’s daring ideas. Will the cast rise to the challenge and create something brilliant, or will it all prove a little too adventurous for this sleepy market town?
