Try climbing at The Arc
If you’ve always fancied trying climbing, you can book a £15 roped climbing taster session on the day (subject to availability), with some places also available to reserve online in advance. Drop-in bouldering is also available throughout the day with no booking required, making it easy to give climbing a go.

Note at any time you can try bouldering on the day, usual entry fees applies. No need to do a course, just watch our safety vid and complete forms. All ages welcome. Adults can supervise up to 2 under 16s per visit.

Activities beyond the climbing walls
Away from the climbing walls, families can enjoy a fun Who Dunnit? clue trail round The Arc from 10am, with prizes up for grabs with free guided nature walks around nearby Westmead Open Space in the afternoon.
The Arc Park will be open throughout the day, offering plenty of opportunities for younger visitors to play, while The Arc Kitchen will be serving a special burger menu alongside drinks and refreshments.
Burt’s Fest returns to the skatepark
From 1pm, the action moves outside as Burt’s Fest returns to The Arc Skatepark. Organised by local skate shop Burt’s Boards, the event features a skate jam with prizes, live graffiti, pop-up stalls, Burt’s Beer and a bar hosted by Yonder Brewing & Blending.
