Gavin Thurston Presents Journeys in the Wild: The secret Life of A Cameraman

Join us at Sheldon School Chippenham on 16th October for an inspiring evening with world-renowned wildlife filmmaker Gavin Thurston to hear incredible stories from behind the lens.

For over 40 years Gavin Thurston has travelled to some of the wildest and most remote corners of the planet, often spending weeks or months waiting for extraordinary wildlife moments to unfold in front of his camera. A seven-time Emmy winner and BAFTA recipient he has filmed on over 20 of David Attenborough’s series. His credits include Ocean with David Attenborough, David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet, The Blue Planet, Blue Planet II, Wild Isles, Mammals and many more.

Gavin is also the author of ‘Journeys in the Wild – The Secret Life of a Cameraman’

Through this talk he will share some of the adventures, mishaps, wonders and discoveries from his career spent filming the natural world.
