Shine Cancer support

I’ve set up a cancer support group for people in their 20s 30s and 40s. It’s part of Shine Cancer Support and will cover Chippenham and surrounding towns in North Wiltshire, to complement the already up and running South Wiltshire group.
Whether you’re newly diagnosed, on treatment, you’ve finished treatment or you have a chronic cancer please join if you’d like to meet others similarly aged who’ve had a diagnosis of cancer.
Monthly meet ups will be arranged to meet other people who know what its like to be diagnosed at a younger age. Social settings so think cafes, bars, restaurants and maybe some activities. The first drink/coffee is always on Shine and the location will change monthly.
If you’re interested and want to join the group to find out about the meet ups etc or want to know more please let me know or email wiltshire@shinecancersupport.org or head over to shinecancersupport.org to see everything Shine offer.
Our next meeting is Saturday 28th November
Whilst I know some people may be disappointed that for this group there’s a set age range. Shine was specifically set up to fill the void between teenage cancer groups and standard adult cancer groups which have higher average age of attendees. To help us feel connected to people at similar life stage to ourselves, who have also had a cancer diagnosis.
