Wine Monkey, Chippenham’s independent wine bar, bottle shop and tasting venue, has launched The Pantry: Coffee + Provisions – a new daytime concept bringing speciality coffee, quality food and carefully selected local produce to the heart of the town.
The Pantry builds on Wine Monkey’s reputation for independent drinks, relaxed hospitality and products with personality. Located inside Wine Monkey, it offers speciality coffee, fresh bakes, brownies, gourmet pantry products and provisions from independent artisan makers.
The launch follows the successful tenancy of Coffee Gems, which helped establish Wine Monkey as a daytime meeting place as well as an evening wine destination. As Coffee Gems moves on to its next chapter, Wine Monkey owner Bryan Houde saw an opportunity to develop a daytime offer fully connected to the venue’s independent, high-quality and community-focused ethos.
“Coffee Gems showed that there was real demand for a daytime offer within Wine Monkey, This felt like the right moment to create something that builds on what we already do well: bringing people together around great products, producers, service and memorable experiences.” said Bryan
The Pantry serves coffee from Fire & Flow Coffee, an independent Cirencester roastery with strong Chippenham roots, alongside pastries from Chippenham’s Pano Bakehouse and brownies from The Gourmet Brownie Kitchen in Devizes. It will also provide a local outlet through which customers can discover and buy from some of the area’s most exciting independent makers.
“Chippenham has brilliant independent producers, but people don’t always know where to find them, I want The Pantry to be somewhere customers can enjoy a great coffee, discover a local maker, buy a gift or take home something special. It’s about supporting other independents as much as growing Wine Monkey for the people of Chippenham.”
Wine Monkey has also introduced a free digital coffee loyalty card. Customers can add it to their phone’s digital wallet by scanning the in-store QR code or visiting https://ohloyal.com/eejvpz. Customers receive one stamp with every coffee and, after collecting eight, get their ninth coffee free.
“There’s no paper card to lose and no app to download, Customers simply add the card to their digital wallet and collect stamps. In future, it will also unlock wine-related rewards in the bar and bottle shop.”
The Pantry complements Wine Monkey’s existing wine bar, bottle shop, tastings and events, allowing the venue to move naturally from morning coffee, cakes and pastries through to afternoon shopping, evening drinks and wine-led experiences.
Customers can expect artisan coffee, fresh pastries, gourmet brownies, European pantry goods, deli-style provisions, quality snacks, wine-friendly treats and gifts. The range will expand to include more independent producers, seasonal specials and products that are difficult to find elsewhere in Chippenham.

The Pantry: Coffee + Provisions is now open inside Wine Monkey at 20 Borough Parade, Chippenham, SN15 3WL, opposite Waterstones.
