Jazz Night – live music with Moonlighting

Moonlighting play music that was made for dancing with various combinations, this time four very experienced confident and comfortable musicians raise the roof and play entirely by ear, violin, clarinet, trumpet and Guitar with two strong singers. Specifically, the American and European happy jazz dance styles from the 1920s to the 1950s.

The repertoire is based around classic swing tunes from the likes of Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Bessie Smith and Al Bowley, with a bit of western swing and the occasional Latin number thrown in, all served with harmony vocals and a smile.
