Chippenham PrideFest 2026 Film: ‘To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar’ (PG Rated)
Chippenham Film Club is proud to host two screenings in June 2026 at The Reel Cinema, in conjunction with the Pride In Chippenham PrideFest.
The first is ‘The Handmaiden’ (18 rated) a 2016 South Korean erotic historical psychological thriller film which is showing as pre-amble to PrideFest on Tuesday 9th June at 7.30pm.
The second film is ‘To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar’ (PG rated) and is showing as a special screening at Chippenham’s Reel Cinema as part of the main schedule of events for PrideFest on Sunday 14th June at 2pm.
The film is a 1995 American road comedy-drama film starring Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze, and John Leguizamo as three New York City drag queens. It has become a cult favorite amongst the LGBT community and Swayze and Leguizamo were nominated at the 1996 Golden Globe Awards, for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and Best Supporting Actor, respectively. The film was nominated for Outstanding Film at the 1996 GLAAD Media Awards.
Tickets for the special screening are available via the Chippenham Film Club Website or via the Chippenham Pride Website – priced at £7.05 for adults and £5.42 for children (under 12)
