Shooting Roots: Song workshop

Part of Chippenham Folk Festival’s youth festival, but open to all 11-17s across the area.

Folk arts specialists Shooting Roots travel folk festivals across the country, a organisation of young people working with teens to have fun together, learn new skills, explore folk arts and make new friends.

In the song workshops, you’re invited to sing your heart out and create harmonies with other young people under the expert guidance of Shooting Roots’ vocal tutors. Bring your voices and favourite songs to the party, and learn new songs from the fantastic tutors to nourish your soul.

With three workshops across the weekend, participants will work together to build an original performance to showcase on the festival’s Community Stage on Monday afternoon.

Either pay £3 on the door, or purchase a £25 youth ticket to the festival, which allows access to all Chippenham Folk Festival’s exclusive youth events for 11-17 year olds as well as the rest of the festival – all ceilidhs, dances, concerts, workshops across the weekend.
