The Chippenham Food bank is open Wednesdays 10am-3pm and Fridays 10am-1pm. They can help anyone who is struggling to afford or access food for as long as necessary. They can also help people self-isolating and can deliver to your home. You don’t need a referral you just need to call them on 01249 655458 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
They understand that reaching out for help can be really hard but if you contact them they will take some quick information from you and arrange for your food parcel to be delivered or collected if you are well and able.
The Chippenham Foodbank is run by the The Chippenham Salvation Army. They have seen a huge increase in demand from people who are struggling to afford or access food from employees who have been furloughed, the self employed whose business has suddenly shut, people unable to work as they are unwell or shielding to people who are self isolating and are unable to access food.
Their wonderful team of volunteers are working hard to deliver to individuals and families who cannot leave home. The Food bank are providing around 70 hot meals a week to those who may not otherwise have a hot meal a day. They are also including non-food essentials such as cleaning products, toiletries, nappies, baby milk and pet food in their parcels.
As restrictions ease and life begins to return to something resembling ‘normal’ the Salvation Army are keen to ensure that no one in Chippenham is left struggling to access or afford food. If you can support people in our community then please consider donating to the Chippenham Salvation Army Food bank‘s Just Giving page here. They can’t do this alone and would very much appreciate your help, all donations regardless of the size are very much appreciated and will go towards buying food and products for our people locally who need it.
