Chippenham Film Club and Chippenham Community Environmental Forum Present ‘Rave On for The (Chippenham) Avon’ at Reel Cinema Chippenham

Part of the Wild Waters Festival and partnering with Chippenham Town Council, Chippenham Film Club are proud to host a screening of the film ‘Rave On For The Avon’ on Saturday 30th May at 1.30pm at The Reel Cinema, Chippenham, followed by a Q&A session with one of the film creators.
The film ‘Rave On For The Avon’ showcases the unwavering strength of a group of Bristolians in the face of adversity, with a mermaid, a scientist, a group of ravers, and the ‘river’s wif’e all coming together to celebrate the River Avon. Independent filmmakers Charlotte Sawyer, and Aggie Nyagari came together to create a deeply personal documentary that, in Charlotte’s words, “is really all about love”.
Note all tickets are FREE but need to be booked via our website.
After the screening you can optionally ‘follow the fish’ to the Early Earth Protectors community garden next to Baydon’s Meadow for a 5pm river ceremony with River Bride and Poet Mrs. Meg Avon, followed by music from local singer-songwriter M3G and the Early Earth Protectors wil be performing their own new song, written and recorded with the help of RiverBank Studios. This will be a chance to connect to nature and meet like-minded people after being inspired by the documentary.
