Zero Chippenham
Zero Chippenham is a voluntary group dedicated to combatting dangerous climate change and the destruction of our natural environment. Their main focus is on community energy, sustainable transport, air quality, re-afforestation and community engagement.

Chippenham Cycle Network Development Group
The Chippenham Cycle Network Development Group is a voluntary group dedicated to improving the cycle network in and around Chippenham. Recent projects include cycle path improvements, signage and additional cycle parking throughout the town, including on the Town Bridge.

Established following the North Wiltshire Sustainable Business Conference in October 2018, the NWSBN was set up to enable sharing of experience and best practice in sustainability amongst businesses in North Wiltshire. Mad about Waste
Mad about Waste are a Chippenham-based community group who are tackling waste in homes, schools, workplaces and neighbourhoods. Their focus is on food waste, clothing waste, and single-use plastic. Mad about Waste are completely run by volunteers and have had a number of successes with, for example, food waste feasts, and a dress library for young women.

North Wiltshire Friends of the Earth is part of a movement creating a safer climate, flourishing nature, and healthy air, water and food, now and for future generations. They campaign for change in our community, to make a difference to the environment locally, nationally and globally.

Chippenham Climate Emergency Advisory Group
Chippenham Town Council declared a “Climate Change Emergency” in 2019 and set up a Climate Emergency Advisory Group. Membership of the advisory group consists of six Chippenham Town Council councillors and six members of the local community who have relevant skills and experience in the subject. The advisory group meets monthly in the Town Hall to discuss, research and make recommendations to the Strategy & Resources Committee on matters where Chippenham can contribute towards tackling the climate crisis.
